Flowerdays in Anna Paulowna
From 4th of May up to and including 8th May 2013:

Blooming bulbfields, beautifully arranged and well kept gardens, more than 100 flore mosaics, beautiful with daffodil guirlanders decorated streets and bridges are a very good reason for a visit to the Flowerdays in Anna Paulowna, the centre of the biggest bulb growing area of the world.
Thousands of visitors come to see the flowermosaics displayed in competitors gardens to admire the fine workmanship evidenced by these beautiful works of art. The flowers are fastened with pins to a styrofoam base on which the picture desired is first painted. About 10,000 pins and flowers are used for each square meter and they are attached with precision.
Mosaics are made in a number of subjects: cartoon characters, paintings, portraits and topics of the day. The mosaics have but a short life since they are made of the tiny flowers that grow on the hyacinth. There are many colours to choose from, so in one mosaic one can get great contrast.
The winners in different categories can be very proud and the one with highest score may cal himself "Dutch Champion".
Besides the mosaics there are also other attractions one can visit. Ask for more information at the informationdesks.
Do not forget to visit the "Poldertuin" behind the Polderhuis, Molenvaart, Anna Paulowna. Here one can see a large variety of blooming flowerbulbs in a very well kept garden.
